Overview
A set of three vintage brass trinket dishes with scalloped rims and bright enamel decoration. Each dish has a wide flat rim and a center medallion engraved with floral scrollwork and filled with color, around a plain polished brass well. One is orange with mint, white and navy accents, one is green with pink, red and yellow flowers, and one is magenta with red, yellow and green accents. They work well as ring or jewelry dishes, catchalls on an entry table, or as a colorful display on a shelf or coffee table.
Background
Engraved brass dishes filled with bright enamel colors were popular decorative pieces in the later 20th century. These three are unmarked. Each has a raised foot ring on the underside with turned rings in the brass, and there are no hanging hooks.
Condition
Good vintage condition with no significant damage. There are light scratches and small areas of enamel wear, light wear on the scalloped edges, and spotting and darkening on the plain brass undersides. Please see all photos.
