Overview
A five-piece set of polished metal barware: two cocktail shakers, two hip flasks and a double jigger. The tall shaker is a three-piece cobbler style, with a fitted cap with ribbed bands over the top section. The smaller shaker has a rounded domed cap and a short pour spout on the shoulder. The larger flask has a dimpled, hammered-look front and a tall screw cap, and the smaller flask is smooth and gently curved, with a hinged screw cap. The jigger has a double hourglass shape with a measuring cup at each end. Together they suit a bar cart, sideboard or open shelf, and can be used or displayed as a group.
Background
Cobbler-style shakers, pocket flasks and double jiggers have been standard home bar tools for many decades, and these pieces date from the late 20th or early 21st century. The tall shaker is stamped on the base "PIER 1 IMPORTS 18/8 STAINLESS CHINA", with part of an old paper label next to the mark. The smaller curved flask is stamped "THINGS REMEMBERED STAINLESS STEEL 7 OZ" and still has its oval "MADE IN CHINA" foil label. The spouted shaker, the hammered flask and the jigger have no visible marks.
Condition
Good used condition. The polished surfaces show light scratches, fine hairlines and handling marks, and the Pier 1 shaker has paper label remains on the base. The jigger has tarnish and a warmer brass-tone color than the other pieces. No large dents are visible. Please see all photos.
