Eastern European Folk Art Hand Painted Floral Trays Metal Plastic Set 2 7.8"

Overview
This striking pair of vintage hand-painted decorative trays showcases classic botanical motifs against deep, high-gloss black fields. The set features two distinct material constructions—one formed from pressed sheet metal alloy and the other crafted in durable molded polymer—each finished with vibrant floral bouquets and delicate gold filigree accent borders along their scalloped rims. Perfectly sized for vanity styling, entry catchalls, bedside trinket displays, or wall-mounted accent groupings in Global Eclectic, Vintage Chic, and Maximalist interiors.
Cultural & Artistic Background
Reflecting traditional Slavic folk art brushwork, these trays draw inspiration from historic regional floral lacquering techniques. The multi-layered painted compositions highlight lush central blossoms surrounded by delicate accent flora and leafy tendrils, executed with fluid, freehand brushstrokes. The undersides preserve vintage embossed price hallmarks and factory trade markings, recording their authentic origin within mid-20th-century regional craft traditions.
Condition & Surface Character
Both trays retain complete structural integrity with clean scalloped contours and no cracks, bends, or structural warping. The hand-painted enamel motifs remain vivid and crisp beneath smooth protective lacquer glazes. The undersides display light, expected vintage shelf wear and gentle surface friction consistent with age, while retaining clear factory identification markings.
