Overview
An antique silverplate water pitcher by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. The tall, urn-shaped body sits on a round pedestal foot with stepped, reeded bands. The wide, high pouring lip is edged with fine reeded lines that run around the rim. The angular strap handle is reeded along its full length and has a squared top. The body is plain and unmonogrammed, with a bright plated finish showing scratches and light tarnish from use. It suits a sideboard, bar cart or dining table, and also works well as a vase for fresh flowers.
