Overview
A vintage sterling silver open cuff bracelet marked S. Kirk & Son. The smooth, slightly tapered band has rounded ends. The outside is engraved with a script monogram that reads "LJH", and the inside carries a dated personal inscription.
Background
S. Kirk & Son was a silver maker founded in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1815. This cuff is stamped "S. KIRK & SON" and "STERLING" inside one end. The number "23" is stamped inside the other end; we have not identified what it refers to. The inside of the band is engraved "2-12-77 / With Love / R·D·H & D·K·H", which shows it was given as a gift in February 1977.
Condition
Good pre-owned vintage condition. There are surface scratches and light tarnish from age and wear. The monogram, inscription and maker's marks are all readable. We see no cracks, breaks or repairs. Please see all photos.

Outside diameter is about 2.5 inches (6.4 cm). Inside, end to end, it measures about 2.4 inches (6.1 cm). The opening between the two ends is about 0.8 inch (2 cm). The band is about 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) wide. It weighs about 0.7 oz (19.8 g).
