Overview A charming pair of vintage hand-chased silver-plated decorative dishes featuring intricate micro-engraved motifs. Displaying detailed radial floral rosettes and traditional geometric scene paneling, these shallow miniature trays serve as distinctive catchall coasters, altar accents, or vanity trinket holders for Boho, Wabi-Sabi, and Eclectic global interiors.
Cultural & Artistic Background Reflecting centuries-old metalworking craftsmanship from Near Eastern and Silk Road artisan traditions, these dishes are constructed using fine manual chasing, etching, and stippling on silver-plated metal. One dish exhibits a centralized starburst floral rosette surrounded by micro-punched scrollwork, while the second presents stylized architecture, figures, and geometric borders. The underside features raised foot rings and authentic plating patina characteristic of mid-century regional metal workshops.
Condition & Surface Character • Structural integrity is fully intact across both solid metal dishes with no major bends or warping. • Natural vintage oxidation, authentic silver-plate tarnish, and soft surface patina with subtle copper-alloy oxidation along the recessed rim crevices. • Flat, stable underside bases suitable for tabletop surface placement.
