Description A delightful and contrasting set of two vintage Mexican folk art pottery vases, showcasing two distinct regional styles.

The set includes a tall cylindrical vessel and a slightly shorter bulbous vase. The bulbous vase is a fine example of "Storyteller" or Xalitla style pottery (often associated with the Guerrero region), featuring an incredibly detailed, hand-painted panoramic scene of village life. It depicts tiny figures farming and gathering among hills, houses with red roofs, and lush vegetation, topped with a scalloped red rim.

The companion piece is a cylindrical vase with a rustic, matte finish. It features a carved high-relief design of a stylized bird or mythological creature (possibly a Quetzal) in earth tones of terracotta, sage green, and blue, framed by geometric borders.

Key features:

Vase 1 (7" Bulbous): Vibrant, glossy intricate painting of a village landscape ("Pueblo") with a scalloped rim.

Vase 2 (8" Cylinder): Earthy, matte texture with incised relief carving of a pre-Hispanic style bird/deity.

Craftsmanship: Demonstrates the versatility of Mexican artisans, from miniature brushwork to sculptural carving.

Palette: A mix of bright primary colors (yellow, red, blue) on one, and subdued earth tones on the other.

This pair offers an instant curated look for any collection of Latin American art or a Boho-style shelf.
