Overview A charming vintage studio pottery wall plaque by Loki-Craft, featuring deeply carved relief representations of mature wheat stalks. Hand-formed from a light buff ceramic clay slab with organic, hand-trimmed edges, this botanical wall accent blends earthy tactile craft with rustic warmth. Ideal for kitchen nooks, entryways, cottagecore gallery walls, or organic modern interior styling. Deep Cultural & Historical Background This artwork draws upon studio pottery traditions of the late 20th-century craft movement, where artisan workshops prioritized hand-drawn press motifs and naturalistic subject matter. The central imagery features a cluster of wheat sheaves, an enduring pan-cultural symbol of agricultural abundance, fertility, hard work, and hearth hospitality. Executed with precise incised line carving into the unglazed ceramic surface, the recessed details are finished with a dark oxide wash to maximize depth and graphic definition. The reverse displays an incised title mark reading "wheat," alongside pierced top suspension holes threaded with a suede hanging strap. Condition & Surface Character Excellent vintage condition with full structural integrity. The buff stoneware clay shows crisp line definition without chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. The surface retains its original matte finish and high-contrast dark accent oxide within the carved grooves. The original hanging cord remains intact and secure for immediate mounting.
