Overview
A vintage silver plated coffee pot with a tall, slightly tapered body that flares out to a wide base. The domed lid is hinged and topped with a cast pinecone finial. The long curved spout ends in a shell-shaped lip, and the cast scroll handle has curled ends. The plating has a warm golden tarnish with darker and iridescent areas. It suits a coffee bar, sideboard or breakfast table, and also works as a display piece or a vase.
Background
The base is stamped "E.P.C." with the name "Lynn" in script. E.P.C. usually stands for electroplated copper. The body is spun, with fine turning rings on the base, and the handle, spout and finial are cast. A matching E.P.C. Lynn creamer and two-handled sugar bowl set is listed separately in our shop. Condition
Good vintage condition with no dents, breaks or repairs, and the lid hinge works. There is overall tarnish, light scratches and wear to the plating, with spotting on the body and wear on the base. Please see all photos.
