Overview A delightful vintage trio of hand-carved wooden frog musician sculptures, full of character and whimsical charm. Finished in warm ochre yellow with hand-painted spotted skin details, red accents, and gilt floral bases, the band includes musicians playing cymbals, a gong, and a hand drum. Ideal for Bohemian, Eclectic, Tropical, Modernist, or Whimsical Folk Art interior styling on shelves, sideboards, or mantels.
Cultural & Artistic Background Rooted in Southeast Asian folk art traditions—specifically modern Balinese woodcarving—animal musician ensembles represent a popular theme in island folklore and decorative art. Local artisans hand-carve native softwood before applying layered tempera pigments, hand-drawn concentric skin motifs, and traditional floral stencil gilt paint along the pedestal bases. These expressive zoomorphic band members symbolize harmony, joy, and musical celebration.
