Overview This charming pair of vintage brass miniature vessels features one hand-etched pedestal bowl equipped with a removable wire floral frog insert and one smooth footed bowl. Compact and versatile, these decorative brass accents are ideal for Ikebana-style flower stem arranging, small trinket storage, or shelf curation. Their warm metallic luster seamlessly elevates Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, Mid-Century Modern, or Global Eclectic interior stylings.
Cultural & Artistic Background Rooted in traditional metal etching and wirecrafting traditions of mid-century Asian decorative art, this set highlights two distinct metalworking techniques. The primary bowl exhibits hand-chased floral and leaf motifs encircling its rounded exterior, topped with a custom-fitted wire grid frog designed to support delicate floral stems or incense. The secondary bowl displays a clean, unadorned silhouette that celebrates the simple form and reflective qualities of solid brass.
Condition & Surface Character Both brass vessels are structurally sound and complete. The etched bowl retains a bright golden sheen with clean, secure wire grid soldering on the removable frog insert. The smooth bowl exhibits authentic age-appropriate patina, featuring subtle surface oxidation and light interior verdigris that highlights its vintage origin.
