Overview This distinctive two-piece vintage brass decorative set includes a classic footed pedestal goblet paired with a traditional Chinese silk-iron style handled vessel. The handled vessel features high-relief dragon carvings along the bowl walls and a vibrant floral cloisonné enamel handle in brilliant cobalt blue, turquoise, pink, and yellow. Perfect for functional trinket storage, incense holding, or tabletop styling, this pair brings refined metallic texture and artisanal craft to Global Eclectic, Japandi, or Wabi-Sabi interior spaces.
Cultural & Artistic Background Inspired by traditional East Asian metalwork and enameling methods, this set showcases two classic metalworking forms. The handheld dish adopts the historic form of a Chinese ceremonial silk iron (xiyin), detailed with a relief dragon motif coiling around the exterior bowl and hand-applied wirework cloisonné enamel on the handle. The vessel base bears a stamped "CHINA" hallmark. Accompanied by a pedestal goblet featuring turned concentric accent lines around its base, the set represents mid-century Asian decorative art traditions.
Condition & Surface Character Both brass items are in solid vintage condition. The handled dish retains vibrant cloisonné enamel along its handle with intact cell wires, while the interior bowl displays authentic surface tarnish and light verdigris oxidation consistent with age. The pedestal goblet features a warm golden brass finish with minor patina and surface marks nestled within the bowl interior.
