Deep Cultural & Historical Background
This vessel draws from the lineage of mid-to-late 20th-century North American studio glass innovation, where artisans began integrating industrial materials into traditional hot-glass working. Each piece is individually crafted by manipulating molten lead-free glass while still pliable, carefully embedding an inert, solid metal bullet into the wall without fracturing the surrounding vessel. The design taps into iconic "bulletproof" motif symbolism—representing resilience, strength, and rugged craftsmanship—while elevating standard barware into sculptural novelty art.
Condition & Surface Character
The clear glass exhibits pristine optical clarity and a substantial, weighted base that ensures stability when set down. The embedded projectile remains securely anchored within a heat-formed glass pocket, showing clean copper metallic coloration with subtle thermal patina from the hand-casting process. The rim is smooth and rounded for comfortable everyday use, with zero chips, cracks, or structural defects.
