Overview
A found-object face sculpture built on a wooden ping pong paddle, mounted on a silver-tone metal pedestal base. The face has flower-shaped metal baking tins for eyes, a spoon for the nose and a curved metal mouth. Coiled springs fan out from the top like hair, small gears sit at the sides, and iridescent shell-look drops hang as earrings. The back shows the red paddle rubber with three matching shell-look accents. A fun conversation piece for a desk, shelf or mantel.
Background
Found-object (assemblage) art turns everyday items into sculpture. This piece is unsigned and the maker is unknown.
Condition
Very good condition. All parts are firmly attached. Light wear on the paddle edge and handle, and light surface wear on the metal parts. Please see all photos.
