Overview This two-piece hand-enameled metalwork ensemble features a flared decorative bucket vessel alongside a matching scalloped wall plate. Rendered in vivid lapis blue, turquoise, emerald green, and coral tones over hand-hammered repoussé metal, the pair displays intricate floral arabesques and central architectural landscape medallions. Ideal for Global Eclectic, Boho, or Wabi-Sabi interior styling, these vibrant pieces bring rich artisanal character to shelf styling, credenza centerpieces, or gallery wall displays. Cultural & Artistic Background Rooted in Near Eastern enamelwork traditions along historic Silk Road trade routes, this set showcases master glass-enamel painting over chased copper metalwork. The decorative plate centers a finely painted architectural landscape framed by delicate scalloped borders, while the bucket displays vibrant bird and flower motifs amidst dense scrolling foliage. The underside of the plate incorporates a factory-soldered wire hanging loop for wall display, while the bucket includes a swing bail wire handle reflecting regional utilitarian vessel forms adapted for decorative craft. Condition & Surface Character Both pieces maintain strong structural integrity with sound metal bases. The hand-applied enamel surface exhibits light, age-appropriate micro-crazing and subtle enamel wear along the scalloped outer rims and base edges, emphasizing its authentic handmade provenance. The white enameled interiors display minor natural patination and surface firing irregularities inherent to traditional artisanal kiln processes.
