Overview
Pair of tall pricket candlesticks in a Brutalist / modernist style. Each has a flat, tapered iron upright with a hammered surface that curves up from an open ring base to a round drip pan with a center spike for pillar candles.
Background
Each upright is joined to its ring base with a hand-looped iron pin: a coiled loop head on the outside, peened over on the inside of the ring where the band's ends meet. The drip pans are steel with a center pricket spike. Maker and age unknown.
Condition
Pre-owned and sturdy. The uprights and bases have a dark hammered finish with light wear and a few small rust spots. The drip pans show rust spots and discoloration. Please see all photos.
