Overview This vibrant 3-piece set of hand-painted wooden wall decor includes two Noah’s Ark shaped plaques and a round wall mirror. Rendered in the world-renowned La Palma Naïve folk art style, each piece is decorated with bold outlines and a rich palette of lime green, cobalt blue, yellow, and crimson. Featuring motifs of animals, village houses, suns, and stylized figures, this set brings cheerful storytelling and artisanal warmth to gallery walls, children's nurseries, or Boho-chic living spaces. Cultural & Artistic Background Originating in the mountain town of La Palma, El Salvador, this artistic style was pioneered by master artist Fernando Llort in the 1970s. Local artisans hand-carved soft pine boards into custom silhouettes before applying layered gouache and acrylic paints with crisp black outline work. The reverse of the plaques retains original artisan provenance, including workshop markings from Taller Jesús Obrero—the famous cooperative founded by Llort—and Project Salvador fair-trade artisan documentation. Condition & Surface Character All three pieces remain in strong vintage condition with structurally intact wood panels. The hand-painted finishes display rich pigment retention, clear linework, and smooth protective topcoats with minimal surface wear. The central glass mirror remains bright and distortion-free. All items come complete with securely mounted brass hanger hardware on the reverse for easy wall mounting.
